We are working with a UHNW family to help them hire an experienced, polished and highly discreet Travelling Valet to support a male Principal across multiple residences and international travel throughout the year.
The successful candidate will be based primarily at the Principal’s Knightsbridge residence, with regular travel to the family’s Surrey residence and overseas locations including Los Angeles, Barbados, Switzerland and the Mediterranean aboard the family yacht.
This is a hands-on role requiring exceptional organisation, wardrobe management skills and meticulous attention to detail, operating seamlessly within a fully staffed private household environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within UHNW private households and be confident managing all aspects of a gentleman’s wardrobe, packing logistics and travel preparation to the highest standard.
Given the extensive international travel involved, candidates must hold full right to work in the UK and be comfortable travelling at short notice, including time spent aboard the family yacht in the Mediterranean.
Key Responsibilities
- Full wardrobe management for the Principal across multiple residences
- Expert packing and unpacking for frequent international travel
- Preparing seasonal wardrobes and ensuring clothing is travel-ready at all times
- Coordination of dry cleaning, tailoring, shoe care and specialist garment maintenance
- Organisation and maintenance of luggage, accessories and personal items
- Travelling ahead of the Principal when required to prepare residences, wardrobes and personal effects
- Assisting with day-to-day valet duties during travel and residence stays
- Managing inventory of clothing, formalwear, casualwear and travel essentials
- Ensuring wardrobes are impeccably presented and maintained
- Liaising with household staff, chauffeurs, security and external suppliers where necessary
- Supporting smooth transitions between London, Surrey and international residences
- Maintaining complete discretion and confidentiality at all times
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Valet or Travelling Valet within a UHNW household
- Strong understanding of luxury garments, fabrics and wardrobe care
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Calm, flexible and proactive approach
- Comfortable with frequent international travel
- Able to work both independently and as part of a wider household team
- Impeccable presentation and communication skills
- Full right to work in the UK
- Fluent English essential
