
We are working with a UHNW family based in a beautiful villa in Dubai to help them hire an experienced House Manager. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of the family home.
This is a hands-on leadership role, with responsibility for recruiting and managing a domestic team of approximately ten staff from the outset. The household operates to a detail-oriented, semi-formal standard, and the ideal candidate will bring a similarly polished and professional approach.
Occasional travel with the family is required, likely once or twice a year, to destinations such as Italy or Switzerland. This role is due to start in October.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the family home, ensuring the highest standards of presentation and service at all times
- Recruit, manage, and coordinate household staff, ensuring consistency at all times
- Liaise directly with the family to anticipate and manage their daily needs and preferences
- Manage household budgets, invoices, and supplier accounts, keeping accurate financial records
- Oversee household inventory and procurement, ensuring supplies are maintained to the family’s standards
- Coordinate household calendars and scheduling, including appointments, deliveries, and contractor visits
- Source, liaise with, and manage external contractors, tradespeople, and service providers
- Maintain thorough household records, including staff rotas, maintenance schedules, and supplier contacts
- Uphold absolute discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times
Ideal Candidate
- The ideal candidate should come from a luxury hospitality background, with previous experience as a Butler highly preferred
- Proven experience managing a luxury household team, ideally of a similar size
- Confident recruiting, training, and managing a domestic team of approximately 10 staff
- Highly detail-oriented, with a polished, semi-formal approach
- Open to all nationalities, but fluency in English is mandatory
- Full driving licence preferred, though not essential, for occasional errands and ease of getting to and from work
- Comfortable with occasional international travel
- Professional, discreet, and calm under pressure
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Applicants must have prior experience working within a private household; candidates whose experience is limited to hotels, hospitality, or commercial settings will not be considered
Package
- Working schedule: 6 days a week, 8 hours a day
- Visa and health insurance provided
- Live-out position – accommodation is not provided
- Start date: October
- Salary: 30,000 AED per month
