Chalet Couple – Klosters

We are working with a returning UHNW family to help them hire a Chef & Host couple for their private, family-owned chalet in Klosters, Switzerland, for the upcoming winter season. The chalet welcomes up to ten guests, and the right couple will take full responsibility for its day-to-day running – blending high-level hosting, housekeeping, and catering within a warm and personal atmosphere.

The season includes several occupied periods, including half-term and the World Economic Forum week, with the family in residence over Christmas and New Year. For part of the season, the couple will also support a neighbouring chalet within the same family circle – working approx. 3 weeks in each chalet over the course of the season.

Accommodation is provided on-site in the form of a private bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Candidates must hold an EU passport or right to work in Switzerland, as visa sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, healthy menus in a light, Mediterranean-inspired style, using minimal cream and plenty of seasonal vegetables
• Plan varied menus suited to relaxed family-style dining as well as more refined, restaurant-standard evenings
• Manage the weekly food shop, budgeting, and kitchen organisation within the closed-off kitchen
• Prepare breakfast and afternoon tea, and assist with dinner service
• Oversee daily housekeeping of bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
• Manage laundry and ensure the chalet is beautifully presented throughout the season
• Welcome and look after guests, ensuring a warm and professional standard of hosting throughout their stay
• Take full responsibility for running the chalet independently, from guest arrival through to departure
• Support each other flexibly across kitchen and hosting duties as needed
• Manage Sunday changeovers and guest arrivals and departures
• Assist with driving duties, including shopping and transfers, particularly while supporting the neighbouring chalet
• Bring a positive, sociable presence that contributes to a warm and memorable guest experience

Ideal Candidate

• EU passport holders, or right to work in Switzerland
• A couple who work well together, with at least one confident, licensed driver
• Previous chalet experience, or a relevant background in private household, hospitality, or yachting
• Comfortable preparing fresh, healthy cuisine alongside more refined dining
• Warm, hardworking, and adaptable, with genuine enthusiasm for hosting
• Professional and discreet, while bringing a fun and welcoming atmosphere for guests
• Driving license is required and aged over 25 years old (for the insurance)
• Able to take initiative independently while working closely as a pair

Package

• Salary: CHF 6,000 net combined per month
• Accommodation: private en-suite bedroom, on-site
• Ski hire and lift pass reimbursed at the end of the season
• Meals provided during working hours
• Return travel to and from the EU included
• One full day off per week, plus additional time off around family occupancy
