Silver Swan is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Head of Maintenance to lead the maintenance department for our esteemed client's estate in Doha, Qatar. The ideal Head of Maintenance will be a proactive and knowledgeable professional who can work closely with the maintenance team, oversee contractors, and ensure the estate's impeccable condition. This role requires a practical leader who is not confined to an office but is actively engaged on the ground, maintaining a well-functioning and aesthetically pleasing estate. Responsibilities: 

  • Direct and lead the maintenance department, taking a hands-on approach to maintenance activities. 

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff and external contractors to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency. 

  • Inspect and assess maintenance requirements, making recommendations and executing repairs or improvements as necessary. 

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring the estate remains in optimal condition. 

  • Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies and equipment as needed. 

  • Collaborate with the Estate Manager to develop maintenance procedures and strategies. 

  • Provide detailed and accurate reports on maintenance activities, expenditures, and recommendations. 

  • Stay up to date with knowledge of GCC country-specific regulations and procedures. 

 

Ideal Candidate: 

  • Extensive hands-on experience in maintenance and a deep understanding of various maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. 

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to work on the ground alongside the maintenance team. 

  • Practical, problem-solving mindset and the capacity to oversee and coordinate maintenance projects. 

  • Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with the estate owner. 

  • Adept at managing inventory and procurement efficiently. 

  • Knowledge of GCC country-specific regulations and procedures would be a significant advantage. 

  • Adaptable and proactive, with a willingness to get hands dirty when necessary. 

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. 

 

Package: 

  • Salary: €4,000+ Euros per month 

  • Live-out apartment provided and covered by the client
