
We are recruiting for an Executive Chef to join a VVIP Principal in Qatar. The superstar of this role would be mainly based on a 60/40 rule of managing the kitchen and team vs cooking. Candidates must have great vegan experience in the past and be able to show it. You will also need to show a high level of menu creation in the past with vegan food, and how you would evolve the menu over time whilst managing a team of chefs.
Candidates must have either huge household experience or preferably Palace experience in the Middle East to go for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a kitchen and team of Chefs
- Ensuring correct FIFO stock rotation
- Ensuring high quality of produce is used
- Maintaining high standards of food presentation
- Creating menus
- Performing administrative tasks
- Taking stock of food and equipment supplies
- Doing purchase orders
Ideal candidate:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position
- Previous experience and well versed in the creation of decadent vegan dishes
- Experience pushing the boundaries of food and constantly having a passion for pushing the boundaries of what food can be
- Fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English
- Advanced knowledge of food professional principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of International cuisines
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Available to work in a team
- Friendly, team player attitude
- Must have impeccable reference and to provide them at application stage
