We are looking for an exceptional Sous Chef for a UHNW client in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be working within a large private estate, consisting of various kitchens to cater for the principals and guests' busy schedule. You will support the Head Chef in ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day Kitchen operations. Together, you will create and prepare outstanding meals and delicacies for the Principals and their guests. This is a permanent, all-inclusive role, and we are looking for candidates with a strong luxury hospitality background, working as a Private Chef or Sous Chef in high-end, 5* establishments, Chalets, Villas, and Private Residences, for at least 5 years.

Responsibilities: 

  • Daily preparation of extremely high quality and exceptionally presented, nutritious meals for the Principals and their Guests.
  • Assist the Head Chef in planning weekly menus
  • Monitor food stock and supplies, place orders, and prepare provision sheets 
  • Assist in maintaining the kitchen and related equipment neat 
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen staff accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with the Head Chef, Chefs, and the front of the house staff in regard to timely service
  • Ensure excellent plate presentation, according to the standard
  • Ensure sanitation regulations are met at all times
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

Ideal Candidate: 

  • Proven working experience of at least 7 years as a Private Chef or Sous Chef in high-end, 5* establishments, Chalets, or Private Residences
  • Candidates must have previous experience working as a Sous chef, in order to be considered
  • Possess an amazing food portfolio
  • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
  • A culinary school diploma, a degree, or classic Chef training preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and proven exposure to different international cuisines 
  • Knowledge of Middle Eastern cuisine, an advantage
  • Proficiency in catering for different dietary requirements (Keto, gluten-free, vegan, vegerarian, etc,…) and food limitations (allergies, intolerances, etc,…)
  • Excellent time management and communication skills 
  • Ability to listen attentively and follow instructions 
  • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Hardworking and comfortable working in the team
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
