Silver Swan is working on an exceptional permanent opportunity that awaits an Estate Manager Couple to oversee multiple villas on a sprawling 3,400-acre historic Tuscan wine estate for a prominent HNW family. These villas operate as self-catering holiday properties and require meticulous care and management, which the Estate Manager Couple will be responsible for. The role entails orchestrating maintenance, guest services, and operational excellence across the estate, collaborating with the existing Hospitality and General Managers.   • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance and cleaning plan for the villas and surrounding gardens, pools, and barbecue areas.
  • Proactively maintain the villas and gardens at a consistently high standard in alignment with the maintenance plan.
  • Collaborate with the Hospitality Manager to ensure seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure, including arranging tours and providing local area expertise.
  • Facilitate occasional local staff recruitment for roles such as cleaners and cooks.
  • Ensure immaculate cleanliness across all properties and address faults, breakages, and maintenance promptly, leveraging strong handyman skills.
  • Prepare the villas for guest arrivals, including food preparation, serving, and flower arranging using garden-cut flowers.
  • Manage varying workloads: Busy periods involve close collaboration with the Hospitality Manager and other teams, while quieter times allow for periodic cleaning, household maintenance, and preparation for future events.
  • Display adaptability, responding to calls and messages outside of standard working hours, and undertake tasks aligned with the diverse nature of the role.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years’ experience in private households, hospitality, facilities management, or similar settings, showcasing a range of skills and competencies.
  • Competent cooking abilities essential for the role.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal English and Italian, with strong computer literacy.
  • Exceptional eye for detail, a positive can-do attitude, flexibility in working patterns, discretion, resilience, and a hands-on approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to cope with last-minute requests and prioritise effectively, trustworthy, diplomatic, and a team player.
